My why is knowing we now can make a difference in people's lives by creating a bridge between business and purpose. It can help a family, support someone going through a difficult time, or give a little hope where it’s needed.
At the end of the day, I don’t just want to build successful companies. I want to make a difference in someone’s life every day while we build something that matters. Now that’s a legacy worth building.
FounderCourtney Wischhover McBride
As a licensed professional counselor, I have had the privilege of working alongside people during some of the most difficult and meaningful moments of their lives. Through that work, I have also seen something that is easy to overlook: the people who dedicate themselves to helping others need support, recognition, and care, too.
Every day, individuals, organizations, and communities show up to strengthen others in countless ways. Yet there are still gaps in visibility, recognition, resources, and access to support. Too often, the people who spend their lives caring for others are expected to simply keep showing up.
I believe we can do better.
Heroes Helping Heroes IL was created from our desire to help bridge those gaps—to connect people with resources, create greater awareness, celebrate the individuals doing the work, and support the organizations and communities working to make a difference.
Because helping others should never mean that you have to do it alone.
We strengthen the people who strengthen our communities.

Vice PresidentI am apart of Heroes Helping Heroes because they serve, protect, and take care of our communities and people in them so much that they need that same support back. Being apart of Heroes Helping Heroes is a way to show them they're not doing this alone. I have always supported our men and women that go above and beyond the line of duty and deserve nothing but the best for what they do.
I have a passion for serving others and supporting organizations that create meaningful change. My family has personally benefited from the resources and community provided by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, which showed me firsthand the impact nonprofits have on individuals and families. That experience inspires me to champion the organizations that dedicate themselves to improving lives and strengthening communities.

My path began in education, training to become a high school teacher, which naturally evolved into my current roles teaching dance at a local studio and coaching at the high school level. Whether I am on the field, in the studio, or working within the community, my focus has always been on guiding, supporting, and elevating others. That is why I am so fortunate my job working at Inspired Title Group has entwined a thread to join all my passions together into one place.
This deep-rooted passion for service is what drives my involvement with Heroes Helping Heroes IL. I firmly believe that the everyday heroes who sacrifice so much to build and protect our communities deserve more than just our gratitude—they deserve tangible recognition through direct, meaningful assistance.
I know that real impact happens when we match our gratitude with action, which is why I enjoy volunteering in the community whenever possible (even though it's a little bit harder right now with an almost 1 year old at home). Through philanthropy and resource sharing, my goal is to ensure these everyday leaders have the tools, support, and care they need to thrive.

I have always believed that serving and supporting others is a natural part of who I am. I am passionate about helping people and have always been drawn to roles that allow me to care for, encourage, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
My experience as a caregiver for my grandmother profoundly shaped my understanding of the challenges faced by those who dedicate themselves to caring for others. It opened my eyes to the emotional, physical, and personal demands that caregivers and other everyday heroes can experience, including the risk of compassion fatigue and burnout.
Through my involvement with Inspired, as well as volunteer experiences with organizations such as Feed My Starving Children, donating our time to the Bridge Teen Center and other community initiatives, I discovered that there are many ways to serve. These experiences reinforced my belief that meaningful change can come through compassion, advocacy, service, and community support.
I am honored to serve on the board of Heroes Helping Heroes and to contribute to its mission of supporting the individuals who dedicate their lives to helping others. I hope to use my personal experiences, passion for service, and commitment to our community to help ensure that the heroes who give so much of themselves have the support, recognition, and resources they deserve.
